How I approached it.
- I analysed the incumbent platform until I knew it better than its docs did, and pulled the functional spec out of it.
- Engineered flexible data models and a forward-compatible integration strategy, so new product changes stopped requiring redeploys.
- Built real-time sync APIs plus full and partial import jobs across products, shops and orders, connecting SAP Commerce to 8 Spring Boot microservices.
- Audited and re-engineered the order and consignment flows along the way, which is where the 60% efficiency gain came from.
